Geocache Description:

This cache is placed between two wooden boxes that are part of the Square Metre for Butterflies Project. There are a number of these planters containing Common rock-rose, which is the primary food plant for the Northern Brown Angus butterfly caterpillars. There is a local population of butterflies at Arthur's Seat and this project provides a link from there to Craigmillar Castle Park and Little France Park. There is a planter at waypoint 1 at the junction of the paths to the east. There is another planter along the path to the south of that at the entrance from Craigmillar Castle Road, as well as one along the path to the west at waypoint 2 beside the bench, with another one visible from there (vegetation permitting) looking towards Arthur's Seat. I have shown below the rock roses in full bloom in one of the planters.

Congratulations to Dearvid for a quick FTF.
