Tokratna pot vas bo vodila ob potoku Bena do slapu Bena. Od parkirišča 1 je do slapu okoli 4,5 km, od parkirišča 2 pa okoli 3 km v eno smer. Opozoriti je potrebno, da imejte dobro obutev, saj boste potok morali večkrat prečiti. Če je sušno obdobje daljše, se da priti suhih nog do slapu, če pa je dlje časa deževalo, je pot do slapu zelo težavna in jo raje odsvetujem. Sem pa prepričan, da boste na točki 0 zagotovo vsaj noge pomočili v vodo pod slapom. Pot vas vodi ob potoku in se ves čas počasi vzpenja (primerna je tudi za otroke), je prijetno hladna, lahko pa vas spremljajo tudi kakšne leteče živali in se na vas obesi kakšen klop.

However, I am sure that at point 0 you will definitely at least dip your feet into the water under the waterfall. The path leads you along the stream and climbs slowly all the time (it is also suitable for children), it is pleasantly cold, but you can also be accompanied by some flying animals and a bench is hung on you.

Bistriški vintgar
V Bistriškem vintgarju ne pričakujte le nekaj metrov široke soteske, obdane s strmimi stenami. Pravzaprav gre “le” za slikovito dolino, ki jo je ustvaril potok Bistrica. Njen tok je ne nekaterih delih zelo razigran, ponekod pa precej miren. Naravno okolje je čudovito, na poti pa si lahko ogledamo kar nekaj znamenitosti: rimski kamnolom, slap Bistriški Šum, ruševine številnih mlinov, najdebelejšo jelko v tem delu Evrope (ki pa se je žal podrla in počasi propada). Pot je enostavna, le del poti ob slapu Šum je izpostavljen in zahteva precej previdnosti.
In Bistriški vintgar, don't expect just a few meters wide gorge surrounded by steep walls. In fact, it is "only" a picturesque valley created by the Bistrica stream. Its flow is not very playful in some parts, but quite calm in some places. The natural environment is beautiful, and on the way we can see quite a few sights: a Roman quarry, the Bistriški Šum waterfall, the ruins of many mills, the thickest fir tree in this part of Europe (which unfortunately collapsed and is slowly decaying). The path is easy, only part of the path by the Šum waterfall is exposed and requires a lot of caution.
Na parkirišču nas pozdravi opisna tabla, kjer vidimo začrtano pot in glavne znamenitosti v soteski. Sledimo dobro označeni poti in uživamo v neokrnjeni naravi. V pol ure prispemo do rimskega kamnoloma, kjer so lomili marmor za rimske nekropole na Štajerskem. Na kamnolom nas opozori oznaka in če se mu želimo povsem približati, je potrebno prečiti Bistrico. Vrnemo se nazaj do oznake in nadaljujemo po levi strani soteske. Kmalu pridemo do oznake za slap Šum. Desno se odcepi ozka steza, ki preči strmo pobočje, tik pred slapom pa so nam v pomoč tudi jeklenice. Ob slapu je potrebno precej previdnosti! Slap ne pada navpično, vendar drsi preko skal v več stopnjah, skupne višina ca. 20 metrov. Nadaljujemo ob potoku naprej in se kmalu zopet združimo s širšo potjo, ki je “obšla” slap. Idilična pot še naprej sledi Bistrici in nas popelje mimo večih tolmunčkov, manjših slapišč in porušenih mlinov. V smeri Sv. Treh Kraljev nadaljujemo vse do Maroltove jelke, nekoč najdebelejše jelke v tem delu Evrope, ki je v višino merila 43 metrov in imela skoraj 50 kubičnih metrov lesa! Zaradi požara in starosti se je žal porušila, tako da lahko občudujemo le njeno razpadajoče deblo.
In the parking lot we are greeted by a descriptive board, where we see the marked path and the main sights in the gorge. We follow a well-marked path and enjoy the unspoiled nature. In half an hour we arrive at a Roman quarry, where marble was mined for Roman necropolises in Styria. A sign warns us at the quarry and if we want to get completely close to it, it is necessary to cross Bistrica. We return back to the mark and continue along the left side of the gorge. We soon reach the sign for the Šum waterfall. A narrow path branches off to the right, crossing a steep slope, and just before the waterfall, steel cables also help us. A lot of caution is needed at the waterfall! The waterfall does not fall vertically, but slides over rocks in several stages, total height ca. 20 meters. We continue along the stream and soon rejoin the wider path that "bypassed" the waterfall. The idyllic path continues to follow Bistrica and takes us past several pools, small waterfalls and ruined mills. In the direction of Sv. The Three Kings continue all the way to the Marolt fir, once the thickest fir in this part of Europe, which measured 43 meters in height and had almost 50 cubic meters of wood! It has unfortunately collapsed due to fire and age, so we can only admire its decaying trunk.
