Charles Cook(e) Higgs
Charles Cook(e) Higgs at the age of 13, in 1810 inherited many local properties from Glenfall through to Old Bath Road. By 1873 he had c160 acres in Charlton Kings.
A philanthropist, he built Holy Apostles Church in 1863-66 costing him £7000. He established a Night School in 1855, the building of which is now Charlton Kings Scouts HQ. He Established a trust in 1880 deriving income from 9 acres of land now occupied by the Junior School and Glynrosa Road.
Even though he paid for the construction of the Holy Apostles Church, it lacks consecrated ground. When Charles Cook(e) Higgs passed on 12th August 1884 he is, I believe interred in St Mary's with his father... that being said, im not sure if it's on the church grounds itself, or the local cemetary, hence the location of this cache. I have since found the actual grave and have now posted a Higgs Family - Final Resting Place cache.
