Geocache Description:

Congratulations to jewilk1 for "FTF" honors!

The cache is at the posted coordinates.

Of all the types of geocaches, the Mystery is the most meligned and spurned.  When planning a trip and making a list of geocaches to find, scores, nay hundreds, nay thousands of geocachers see the robins-egg blue circle with the navy blue question mark and skip right over it.  They don’t even take the time to read it to find out what it’s all about.  They’ve already made up their mind that it’s probably got calculus in it and requires you to draw geometric designs, calculate angles and multiply sines and cosines.  Little do they know that hiding behind that pretty question mark are all kinds of delightful “day making” activity.  Sure, a small percentage of Mystery Caches fit into the “calculus-geometric-sine/cosine category, but so many, many more take you to wonderful and exciting locations and provide you with entertaining solo and group activity.  Mystery caches can be puzzles to solve but hundreds of them are simple and straight forward.  I did a series of 50 puzzles once that all I had to do was highlight the cache page or print out the page and the answer showed up on the screen/page.  Absolutely no calculating or extensive Google searches involved.  I had all 50 solved in no time and had a ball finding them all.

Some of my favorite Mystery Caches have been Challenge Caches.  Again, these don’t involve any kind of mental gymnastics to figure out.  Many are simply goal oriented for the Geocacher.  They provide the Geocacher with a geocaching goal to work on such as finding a cache every day of the year, or 100 caches in a month, or 1,000 caches in a year.

I love Mystery Caches but I too have those I skip over.  However, I take a moment to read through the cache page to find out what it is all about before moving on.  Some of our most favorite geocaches have been Mystery Caches.  Favorites because of the information we had to gather to solve it, or, the location the final was place at, or, the challenge it provided us over time to claim it.  When we find these kind of mysteries, we reward the cache owner with a favorite point.

In an effort to challenge you to take the time to read the Mystery cache page and find those really good Mystery Caches as determined by the favorite points other cachers have given them, I’ve created this Mystery Challenge.

To claim this challenge, you must find 5 Mystery Caches that each have at least 100 favorite pointsPlease list your 5 finds by GC number and title in your log.  This will also help us create a list of Mystery Caches for our “Must Find” list.

As there is no parking on the street where the cache is located, you must park on the side street around the corner.  See the parking coordinates listed.

Also, as the cache location is under some trees, the posted coords may be a bit shakey.  The hint should be helpful.
