Geocache Description:

From the time when kids had to walk uphill both way to school. There was dozens of country schools across the county ensuring that no  kid had to walk more than 3 miles

The Yuma County School project set out to locate and mark as many of these schools as possible  Anyone wanting more information can stop into the Wray Museum

Armel High School branch of the Yuma County High School was approved in 1921. Branches of the Yuma School system had to furnish their own building. School was held in the church basment for several years   When a real school was built it consisted of 2 buildings

The last graduating class was in 1951 Later students from the AArmel area attended Idalia High School
