Mount Bowen is a mountain located on Hinchinbrook Island, off the northeast coast of Queensland, Australia. It rises 1,121m out of the Coral Sea. It is 115km north-north-west of Townsville.
Mount Bowen is also a peak in the Prince Albert Mountains, Victoria Land, Antarctica (S 75 45’ E 161 3’). It is 1875m high, standing north of the Davis Glacier and 11 km south-southwest of Mount Howard. The mountain is primarily composed of layers of sandstone, and the peak is quite black. It was discovered by the British National Antarctic Expedition of 1901–1904, which named it for Charles C. Bowen, one of the men who gave the expedition much assistance in New Zealand.
