Strawtown Elementary School is one of two schools in West Nyack. It has about 315 students each year from Kindergarten to 5th grade (currently). In my opinion, this is the best school in the Clarkstown School District, but I'm biased. With a Girl Scout Troop available at every grade level, there are generally about 6 troops active each year, teaching girls leadership and providing community service.
This cache, along with others in West Nyack, is part of my Girl Scout Gold Award Project. The goal of my project is to encourage people of all ages to get outdoors, explore and learn some local history. I very much hope you enjoy my caches and help to teach others this activity that I love so much.
