We wanted to place some large caches because they are uncommon. The inspiration for this cache comes from a hide we found during the early days of Covid lockdown. We sure do hope there’s no hole in THIS bucket…
There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza,
There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, a hole.
Then fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, fix it…
This song brings back memories of Mrs. book lover’s childhood. She would sing this song with her mother when taking hikes in the woods looking for wildflowers. While acquiring the coordinates for the cache there was wood anemone blooming everywhere. Depending on the season you may find violets, wild geranium, hepatica and other wildflowers. There may even be some blackberries, if the wildlife hasn’t stripped the canes.
Cache is placed with the landowners’ permission. Land is part of the Wisconsin Managed Forest Law Program and is “open” to the public. Open designation allows public access to the property only for hunting, fishing, hiking, sight-seeing and cross-country skiing without additional permission from landowners. The landowners’ grant additional permission to geocachers to search for caches.
