Uncle Denis was born and raised in Cut Knife and was proud of being a native of Saskatchewan and the son of a farmer. He moved to Alberta and eventually to California. He had a successful career in California and welcomed many of us to visit him there.
He was passionate about life, food, travel and laugher. He was generous and always quick to laugh. He was a staple at the August Long weekend Slow-pitch tournament.
Unfortunately, we lost him in February of 2018. He will be forever loved and missed; we have placed this cache is placed in his memory. For those of you who knew him I hope you will leave a memory or a story with Uncle. I have so many of him that it is hard to know if there is one that I can put on this page.
I guess the one thing I would like to mention are him and his buddy (Randy, those of you who know, know) helping people around the lake to repair and improve cabins. It wasn’t done for money or for recognition but to help. I will miss that smile.
