Geocache Description:

I came across this un-named (I didn't see any name in the direction I approached from) cemetery quite unexpectedley. As with any old pioneer cemetery there are a lot of stories to be told by reading the names and dates on the headstones. The main stone is dedicated to the first settlers John MacDonald (aged 100 years) and his wife Isabel Maclean. They were born on the Isle of Mull, Scotland and landed in Quebec 2nd August 1821.

Take the time to view some of the stones as you meander over to the GZ.

The cemetery can be accessed via the rail trail or via a laneway from the main road.
