Old Tracks New Beginnings Pt.1 - Timber Industry
This cache is part of a series called Old Tracks New Beginnings following the old railway line that has since been converted to a walk trail called the linear path. This Geocache is located at the old locomotive just outside the Manjimup Timber Park. This old locomotive would of been once used to transport logs from the logging sites to the mill for processing into useable timber for a variety of purposes. Manjimup was built on the timber industry so trains like this one were essential to move large amounts of timber from place to place. As the timber industry declined and as trucks became more economical, trains like this one slowly fell out of favour however the railroads made for the trains can still be seen throughout the area.
This cache is a small black container with space for small trackables and swapables.
