Herbert "Herbie" Schmeider Jr was an employee at Pullman. At one time all these buildings were a part of Pullman. He started in 1963 and stayed until 1980 when they shutdown. In 1963 while grinding metal his glove caught on a blade and took off his thumb. While there he was also a crane operator and an electrician. He told me he would heat up his lunch on the hot pipelines. I wanted this cache as a rememberance for my father who passed Aug 13, 2020 at the age of 78. Hope you enjoy the find.
