On the hill behind GZ is the Cross Zee Ranch. The ranch was started in this location around 1950 by the well known cowboy Johnny Boychuk and still operates today providing guiding and horseback riding trips. Johnny operated the ranch until he retired at the age of 90 in 1995 and he passed away in 2006 at the age of 101.
