Mount Lady Macdonald (2606m) is named after the wife of Sir John A. Macdonald who was the first Prime Minister of Canada. The Macdonald's travelled through the area on the newly completed railway in 1886. It was said that during the trip through the Rockies they had a special chair placed at the front of the Locomotive on the train so Lady Macdonald could better enjoy the great views. You are looking for a coloured bison tube in a small aspen tree near the fence.
