Geocache Description:

Plub Gub is a magnetic fishing geocache, it will be required in order to obtain the cache. It is pretty affordable to look online or in any department store ex. "Home Depot" for a magnet that will be good for magnet fishing. Recommend using a magnet which has the pull strength of over 500lbs, this due to suction/materials which can hold down the cache. Plub Gub was placed with permission from Mesa Parks, this includes it being submerged in water. Mesa Parks recognizes Geocaching and accepts the hobby in their parks in as much we abide by the general rules consented on by the geocaching community.

UPDATES: Plub Glubs difficulty has risen from initially 3.5 to 5 overall due to how difficult this cache is. Magnet fishing is hard and Plub Glub does well to evade you. Important to remember Plub Glub is not in the shallows, so it is not visible from the surface. Plub Glub is the color of the water and he wont be turning orange anytime soon ;) as some of you think he is a goldfish. He is hard on purpose. I am also updating magnet strength recommendation for Plub Glub. Also the trash you guys pull up is hilarious to see and it was also hilarious to see some of you take a dip to find Plub, remember swimming is not allowed at Tempe Riverview, doing so can look bad on the Geocaching Community and could make us lose privledges in Mesa Park so be careful.

IMPORTANT TIP: The bottom of Mesa Riverview is quite rocky, personally I have lost fishing lines and so have many other people. Plub Gub already claimed the life of (2) magnets, a moment of silence for the fallen... be proactive and careful when on the hunt for Plub Gub.

CACHE IDENTIFICATION (Because some of you will most likely pull up an assortment of objects and mainly other peoples fishing lines): Plub Gub is a Small Steel OD Green Ammo Box which is rectangle shaped and it weighs less than 10lbs (sneakily the cache is very similiar color to Mesa Riverview). Inside the cache is a black EDC vial (or heavy duty bison tube) that is within a pink diving pouch, anything else added would be the many trade trinkets you cachers love.

DO NOT SWIM IN THE WATER OR ATTEMPT TO FIND THE CACHE BY ENTERING THE WATER, THIS IS STRICTLY AGAINST MESA PARK RULES.

DIRECTIONS FOR RESUBMERGING PLUB GUB: Make sure to put the log back into the EDC Vial and into the pink waterproof pouch. Make Sure the metal container is fully closed so that we will not lose the contents of the cache or log. Do not place the cache near the waters shallow edge, throw approximately 6-10' away into the darker water centered on the north bank (please do not throw the cache near the bridge as the cache could be lost under the bridge). Its okay if Plub Gub is not replaced exactly on the posted coordinates, I recognize there will be some discrepencies but please make the effort to keep it near the center of the north bank of the lake. Thank you.
