Looking for a beautiful park to walk your dog?

Sheldon Forest and Rofe Park are among the most beautiful and diverse areas of remnant natural bushland in greater northern Sydney. Sheldon Forest supports a valuable tract of critically endangered Blue Gum high forest while Rofe Park is a deep Hawkesbury Sandstone valley with tall forest. Both areas were gifted to or acquired by Council in the first half of the 20th century from recognition of their natural values.

The Sheldon Forest track meanders through jungle-like bushland, along ridge tops, down gentle hill slopes, and follows a stream that boasts several small waterfalls. The forest is one of the few remaining pieces of the Blue Gum high forest in the Sydney Basin, and is supported by dedicated community bushcare programs.

The cache is not too far off from the main trail.
