Geocaching International Film Festival 2021
From finding new favorite places, people, and puzzles, geocaching is full of moments that should be captured on film and shared with the geocaching world. See how the international geocaching community has captured these geocaching moments by attending this 2021 GIFF Event.
From November 11-21, 2021, thousands of geocachers will take part in a global geocaching movie event. The GIFF 2021 reel will contain an hour of carefully selected finalist films made by geocachers, for geocachers.
Not only will this year’s GIFF screening in Northeast Nebraska take place on the BIG screen at the Norfolk 7 Theater, but it is also a Community Celebration Event! Come and enjoy spacious & comfortable movie theater recliner seating with your friends and fellow geocachers as you take in this year's films!
Fun facts about this event:
- Admission to the theater for the GIFF screening is absolutely FREE!
- The movie theater concession stand will be open for you to purchase your favorite movie theater snacks! Of course, no purchase is required.
- Attending a GIFF event will earn you a 2021 GIFF souvenir for your profile.
- If you have not attended a Community Celebration Event yet, you will also earn a new cache type icon AND a new souvenir!
The Community Celebration GIFF Event will take place on
Saturday, November 13th, from 9:30am to 11:30am
GIFF 2021 Schedule:
- 09:30am: Theater doors open
- 09:50am: Welcome and opening comments
- 10:00am: Lights, Camera, Action! – Let the films begin!
- 11:00am: Vote for your favorite film and discuss them with fellow geocachers!
- 11:15am: Closing remarks and prize drawings

Upon conclusion of the Community Celebration Event, you are invited to hit the trail and seek out the many Geocaches and Adventure Labs in the Norfolk area – including Nebraska’s First GeoTour, the Visit Norfolk Area Nebraska GeoTour (GT90)!
Community Celebration Events
