Hālaulani is a ʻili (a subdivision or a smaller area of land within a ahupuaʻa) situated between the ponds of Hanaloa, Eō, and Hanapōuli, and the goverment road. There was situated in the land of Hālaulani, the heiau called Ahuʻ ena or Hāʻ ena, which was used in the time of Kamehameha l, and last cared for by John Papa ʻIʻi, who was granted fee simple interest in the land during the Māhele.
