Geocache Description:


At posted coords you will see a painting. How could anyone look at this beautiful mural and not want others to appreciate it too? Thus - this multi!

Designed and brought to life by muralist Dave Rickerd, it is set in an antique printers tray which were often turned on their side, hung on walls and used to display knick-knacks. The mural depicts aspects of old and modern day Archbold, from its early settlement to its modern day Sauder Village and restaurant.

To get numbers for the final coords and a smiley, answer the questions below. You will need your own writing utencil, no room for swag or trackables. Remember to play fair, sign the log, appreciate your family and friends, be safe, CITO when needed and represent the geocaching community positively. Now for the puzzle ----

A) Find the drawer honoring the Archbold military. How many dog tags are there?  This is "A".

B) Locate the fire department box. What is the first digit of the fire chief's helmet? This is "B".

C) There is a license plate in the top row. What is the number? "C" is the first digit.

D) "Welcome to Archbald". Notice the original spelling? When was the town established? "D" is the third digit.

E) Sam Hornish was a local race car hero who won the prestigious Indi 500 in 2006.What is the first digit of the number on the milk bottle? This is "E". 

V) Take a drive around the Archbold countryside and you're sure to see some cows. How many are on the mural? This is "V".

W) In the second row, there is a section with sports shoes and balls. "W" is the number of balls.

X) Someone is buying something! What do they owe? "X" is the dollar place.

Y) Christmas is a special time in Archbold, highlighted by their drive-thru Christmas display in Ruihley Park which is enjoyed by many in Archbold and surrounding towns. How many Christmas lights are on the strand in the mural? This is "Y".

Z) Scott's Theatre, originally a grocery store, ran from 1944-1972. For "Z", find the ticket stub. What is the second digit of the price to see a movie?
