Park at N 41 25.605 W 073 57.935 from here follow the white trail up Mt. Taurus. You will hike past some breathtaking views of the Hudson, West Point Military Academy and the town of Cold Spring. Once near the cache, you will be able to see the Tappan Zee bridge and Manhattan on a clear day, just look to the south.
I have recently changed the container.It now is a mortar tube. About a foot and a half long and 5" in diameter. This should hold up against the elements a lot better than the old container. We put the mandatory log book in there along with one Euro Dolar coin, a travel pac of fabric softener, a cell phone pouch for a back pack and a little pocket knife. We also set out our first Travel Bug, Willie Coyote in this cache. Make sure you bring a camera, you are going to find plenty of reasons to use it. When planning the time for this cache, please consider that this hike does not seem all that long on a map but do not forget to take the elevation lines into consideration you are going to be at arround 1400 feet at the cache site
