Geocache Description:

Brood X, the every 17 year monstrous wave of periodical cicadas that rise from the ground like an erupting volcano just graced us in 2021 and will be back in 2038. This cache salutes their unique life - cheers!

Oh yeah, it is date night, baby!

I go from nymph coming out of the ground to adult in one hour, but good color takes 5 days.

What beautiful red eyes you have, ugh...

This is an easy and quick multi compared to many of mine, but I do hope you find the hide intriguing, slightly informative and perhaps humorous. For the record these cicadas go from egg, to nympf, to metamorphous, and then adult in 17 years making it the longest lifecycle of any insect - pretty cool!
