Some things about geocaching out west:
- Heat if Summer
- Cold if Winter
- Flies if warm weather after rains
- Thorns at any time of the year if the rains have produced all the thorny species typically found out west!
Our score this trip was the cold which was manageable, and the thorns which are totally unmanageable!!
Thorns were everywhere if the ground wasn't bare! Sharp ones that penetrated cloth based shoes, stuck to your socks and even denim jeans!
At this particular spot they were quite vicious - hence the cache title. They are so noted in the Attributes.
So take care when reaching under the tree for the cache that the thorns don't get you!!
