When folks paint out of doors they often use the term en plein air, French for “in the open air”, to describe the activity. We’ve also heard it referred to as painting in situ. In situ is defined as “in its original place.”
We placed this cache along County Road 15 after an en plein air outing with the Yolo Arts – Art & Ag Project. If you look to the south at a bearing of 208° you will see the recently restored home that was the focal point of the outing.
