Geocache Description:

After getting the last cache on this spur of the Hunter Creek Watershed, the road here as many others in here looked like it had been improved so I decided to venture on and see where it would lead me to.  I stopped just before this cache with a nice creek that crossed the road. When I went out exploring on foot I came across this nice creek and pond that just called out for a cache to placed here so that others could come up and find this hidden gem.  Hence the name of the cache.  At certain times of the year the creek could be more of an issue and may require wading.  When I placed the cache during the long heat wave there was water still running across the road.  I was able to hop over rocks in the creek to get across fairly easily but that might not be the case in the spring or fall, or after any significant rainfall.

The forest service road is steep right from the get go and also many other places along the way and should not be attempted with a 4x4 vehicle with moderate clearance.  I did it with my Jeep Patriot and it was fine. There are waterbars galore to be traversed carefully. Cell recption over the majoity of the area is nonexistant.
