Geocache Description:

Although the cache itself is a guardrail cache, I placed it here so cachers will visit the nearby memorial to Brad Deanda.  Bradley Allen "Brad" Deanda, Sr, was killed here on December 11, 2016.  He was 46 years old, and a Captain in the Tallahassee Fire Department.  He was born in California on October 5, 1970, and graduated in1989 from Godby High School in Tallahassee. He received his degree in Fire Science, and was a 24-year veteran of the Tallahassee Fire Department. On the day of his death, he had been hunting nearby. He had returned to his truck to remove his hunting gear.  He was standing on the driver's side of his truck, with the door open and his headlights on, and he was struck by a passing vehicle.  He died at the scene.  He was described by friends as "the ultimate Seminole Fan" and the ultimate fireman, too.  He is survived by his wife and two sons.

This roadside memorial is a tribute to a man described as "Husband, Father, Friend, Neighbor, Hero" by those who knew him best.
