Geocache Description:

DELMAS – CANADA150

*Please BYOP* You are looking for a nano magnetic container.

Delmas owes its name to the Francophone Catholic priest, Henri Delmas. Born in the hamlet of Boyne in France, he was sent to Canada in June 1892. In 1895, he began his adventure in Western Canada, a journey that took him to such places as Duck Lake and Île-à-la-Crosse.

The name Delmas is derived from the word mas, an isolated farm or farmhouse in the south of France. Delmas means "from a mas".

Most of the people living in the small hamlet of Delmas are of Francophone heritage.  The area's economy is based on agriculture.
