21 August 2021, 17:00 - 18:00

 I am pleased to announce Carrot River's FIRST CITO EVENT!!   However, it's not actually IN THE TOWN as Carrot River is a very clean community that holds regular 'clean-up days' on its own, without any help from geocachers!  However, some of us who live or travel north of town on a regular basis are aware of at least one location that needs some HELP....ie CITO-CACHE IN TRASH OUT!  This EVENT is technically in the community of BLUE JAY!  

This Event will accomodate anyone who was working and couldn't attend the earlier get-together and anyone else who was unable to earn their INTERNATIONAL GEOCACHING DAY souvenir on Aug 21st without this Event!  You will also earn a CITO souvenir for this Event and if you haven't earned your LOCATIONLESS souvenir yet, this will qualify you for that one too!

Locationless Cache - GC8NEAT

Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 470,000 people have volunteered at over 24,000 events in 124 countries.  

Everyone is welcome!  Please bring your own GLOVES and if you can-GARBAGE BAGS!  Good footwear is recommended-some have used this spot as a bit of a dumping ground for old furniture and 'what have you's' and we will encounter some tall grass and weeds too!  BUT....we are going to have a GREAT TIME CLEANING UP THIS AREA!   If we clean up this location in great time, we can also do some ditch clean-up in the area!  We just might find some bottles and cans there too!

PS. Please bring cameras/cell phones so as to provide proof of your participation for the Locationless Cache - GC8NEAT souvenir!  When you log that cache online, you must post a photo of your work/participation with your log.
