dugfresh: The goal of this cache originally was to showcase both the Art nearby and the Utility of PSE along the trail. The cache never lived up to this expectation IMO. I have been pondering a revamp of this hide for a while although people seemed to really enjoy the hide style. I visited GZ again this past weekend and tried to gain access to the hiding spot.. its sealed on there good and I'm not interested in getting it unstuck. The cache and hide likely had fallen into the neighbors yard again and they likely got irritated. So all in all it makes sense to archive this cache and figure out another way to utilize this location. I've got something planned.. just a bit of logistics to figure out.

Geocache Description:


Welcome to Duvall!
This cache is located along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail where it intersects with McCormick Park. This is tougher than most PSE caches, so think outside of the box. You'll also need to be careful when replacing this magnetic cache so that it's not lost forever. The height of this cache will make it necessary for adults to assist small children.

ARTility
This cache commemorates the ARTility installation just steps away from Duvall City Hall. Completed in the fall of 2018 by local King County artist, Sara Snedeker. Snedekers original artwork covers the entire PSE owned transformer box, and depicts the renewable energy resources generated from Wild Horse Wind & Solar Facility along with local cows from Washington State. ARTility highlights PSE’s 50x40 campaign with a target to reduce greenhouse gasses 50% by the year 2040.

 

The height of this cache will make it necessary for adults to assist small children.
