Version 3 of the original cache in my backstreet series, this cache was the start of the journey through the landmarks that made up my old neighborhood.

Well here goes attempt number three...
As kids we loved to ride our bikes out to this little hideout. We would slide down the concrete embankment on cardboard, and make up stories about the people who's names were enscribed on every surface there. Some of that chalk graffiti has survived 20 years now! We dubed it 'Moon Road' because, much like the meteor impact-riddled surface of the moon, there were countless potholes that littered what used to be the caliche road that ran under the overpass. It's amazing how creative kids can be - given half the chance...
As a safety note, finding this cache DOES NOT involve going up on the highway, so please stay clear of that hazard. Also, please be careful while climbing the hill as there may be gravel that could cause you to lose your footing.
