BÚLANDSTINDUR (Goðaborg)
this pyramid-shaped stack of baasaltic strata is located between Berufjörður and Hamarsfjörður.
Wellcome to the great and not hard marked hike with total elevation abou 920 m to the famous mountain of this area which is dominant like pyramide which you can see best from the small pretty town Djúpivogur.
.

At the starting point you can see the map that can be useful for orientation along the way. The path start at parking place near small dam with footbridge straight up the grassy green slopes along the marked path on the left side of the stream to the pass and then to the right side where some marked are the little rocky parts (only sometimes and somewhere) and then on path to the top. Recomendation is use the same path back to parking place. The way to Goðaborg is possible (but no marked!).

If you can go to and from Goðaborg back to parking place on the right side of the steam, rememeber that is no any mark and path and the way can be more difficult than go back to the top and on the marked path on the left side!! I tried it but if you are not experienced alpine tourists, it's better to go the same way you came from!!!
Cache is placed at the little bit rocky flat top. Few meter up from the blue keg with guest book - IT IS NOT REAL CACHE AND LOGBOOK!
Be very careful in any weather aspecially when is sliperry, you move here at your own risk!

Enjoy your hike and spectaculous panoramatic view to this fjords, walleys and sharp mountains crests :o)
