You wouldn’t have believed me if I had told you that I saw a giraffe climb a tree. Well I saw a giraffe climb a tree. I looked into its branches and there it clung to it as if it were a monkey. I inquired the giraffe’s strange behaviour and it replied to me. “Well you see, I often observe the monkeys swinging around in the trees and one day I thought to myself that looks like fun, I think I’d quite like to give that a try. So here I am”
The giraffe however was unable to swing as the monkeys are able, instead it just sort of sat there in between the branches, quite like a chair. I further inquire of it asking, “but what can a giraffe gain from climbing a tree?
Surely it must not be because you cannot reach your food. You have your incredibly long neck for that” The giraffe pauses on this thought for a brief moment and goes to pluck an exotic and delicious looking fruit with its lengthy tongue. It looks pensive as it quickly chews its snack. “Well sometimes you just have to try things to experience them. You don’t necessarily have to have a set purpose. You never know what you can discover when you try something new”
