LA doesn’t have an IHO series….. well let’s change that! This is the first of many caches honoring Los Angeles cachers and caching communities. Three IHO (In Honor Of) caches are being released for my community celebration event but more are in the works over the next month to honor some of the cachers who could not make it to the event.
RCKen and qbee37 are two dedicated caching partners with inspiring and ambitious goals. When I read about their self-imposed freeway goal, I was in awe. I can barely keep a 3-mile radius around me clear! That area seemed like whack-a-mole to me.. they may find some caches in the area, but my new caches just keep popping up. And especially when those caches are DNA tubes.... I'm sure whenever they see a new geocache notification from me, their first reaction is annoyance! I remember how overjoyed they were at the West LA geocaching zoom when I announced that I wouldn't be placing any more DNA tubes in signposts...... well..... this is still a DNA tube... but it's not in a sign post, so I'd call that a good first step. RCKen is one of the top finders of my caches and both have impressive statistic pages (think every grid possible completed multiple times) that I hope one day to achieve. Both of them are an inspiration to me in my geocaching journey.
Thanks for unrolling all those DNA tube logs and I'm sure I'll continue seeing your logs far into the future (as long as I keep placing new ones 😉 )
