The coordinates will take you to a large mural that was painted by community volunteers and leaders. It was completed over the course of several months back in 2010.
The volunteers and leaders involved in the mural(s) were associated with the nearby middle school, Christa McAuliffe, where they worked to keep students from dropping out, via the City Year program. City Year is an education nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students and schools succeed by developing young people into leaders, problem solvers and more active citizens.
In partnership with the school, the program painted the mural you see here today as well as the one on the other side of the freeway, though this one is better maintained. Chances are, you saw the other mural on the way to this one, since you're on a one-way street.
