Fibonacci Fun at Schodack Island

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21...

Join me at 5pm on 8/13/21 at Schodack Island State Park to relax, chat, and talk about numbers. We will take 1 group photo at 23 minutes after 5. Hmm, maybe we better take 1 portrait photo and 1 landscape photo. ;)

On Friday evenings the park has a concession stand run by a local volunteer fire department. I will nab a picnic table as a base for the group. You may want to bring a lawn chair and any alcoholic beverages that you desire. The concession stand offers things such as burgers, hotdogs, fried dough, soda, and water for nominal fees, but you are also welcome to bring your own dinner or snacks.

I'm planning to just hang out, visit, and help anyone that needs it with projections and waypoints to complete the multi, SI8B Practice with the Projecting Nerds. If you have more time and energy, there are many caches both on the island and off (via kayak.)

laugh Fun fact: August 13, 2021, written as 8/13/21, consists of three consecutive Fibonacci numbers: 8, 13, and 21.

Event will be held rain or shine. Permission granted by the Schodack Island State Park. There will be hand sanitizer and masks available.

COVID-19 information: Please do not attend the event if you are sick or have any symptoms of COVID-19 or meet quarantine criteria as defined by either NYS or your home state's DOH.
