***You will NOT need to physically be on the road, or the bridge to access the cache. The cache is on the same side as the parking area, and within close proximity of the plaque.***
***There are traffic lights directing traffic on this one lane bridge, and please note that you cannot make a left turn (West) out of the parking area***
***Please be aware that this is also an area that is known for ticks, & wildlife***
This bridge was completed on October 15th 1954 after Hurricane Hazel hit the area and washed out many bridges in the area. This bridge was built in a matter of days by the 2nd Field Engineer Regiment of the Canadian Military Engineers. This bridge is actually the last of these bridges still in service in Scarborough.

Urban legend has it that this bridge is haunted. Although there is no documented proof that this Urban Legend is in fact true. Many teens, and paranormal seekers often come to this bridge late at night to see if they too will encounter the shrill screams from the surrounding woods.
It is said that if you come here late at night and sing "Happy Birthday" to "Candy" you will hear her screaming in the woods. The story goes...
Back in the day (date not noted), a young girl was walking either from her birthday party home, or to her birthday party, and was killed in this area. Apparently she haunts this area, and when someone sings "Happy Birthday" to her she will let you know she is still present!
It's up to you when you come by to find this cache, and if you choose to sing Happy Birthday, or not...If you do come by in the wee hours of the night, share in your log if you experienced anything interesting...
