Dall'anno 2003 il Comune di Castelnuovo Magra aderisce all' Associazione dei Comuni Italiani sulla Via Francigena, il percorso medioevale che collegava tra loro le grandi mete dei pellegrinaggi, secondo l'itinerario di Sigerico, vescovo di Canterbury. Castelnuovo si trova lungo il cammino della tappa T003 Aulla- Avenza che passa da Colombiera e prosegue lungo una deviazione che conduce al centro storico; ritorna al piano lungo i sentieri che attraversano la collina e arriva alla zona archeologica di Luni.
Questo bellissimo ponte in pietra, fa parte della viabilità della via Francigena.
Il ponte è inserito in uno snodo di diversi sentieri della zona.

Since 2003 the Municipality of Castelnuovo Magra adheres to the Association of Italian Municipalities on the Via Francigena, the medieval route that connected the great pilgrimage destinations, according to the itinerary of Sigeric, bishop of Canterbury. Castelnuovo is located along the path of the T003 Aulla-Avenza stage which passes through Colombiera and continues along a detour that leads to the historic center; return to the plain along the paths that cross the hill and arrive at the archaeological area of Luni.
This beautiful stone bridge is part of the via Francigena.
The bridge is inserted in a junction of several trails in the area.

Seit 2003 gehört die Gemeinde Castelnuovo Magra dem Verband der italienischen Gemeinden an der Via Francigena an, der mittelalterlichen Route, die die großen Wallfahrtsorte verband, gemäß der Route von Sigeric, Bischof von Canterbury.
