This cache is placed near a Storm Water Detention Pond, though you do not need to cross any fence lines to access the cache. Storm Water Detention Ponds collect water during times of high rainfall, and then release it slowly overtime to help prevent flooding and bank erosion. This particular location is located at the base of Marble Hill, and water levels in this waterway (Patterson Road Creek) can fluctuate significantly throughout the year. If you visit before the corn across the road is harvested in summer, you might get lucky to spot a visitor of another nature!
