“Get your towels ready it's about to go down
Everybody in the place hit the deck
But stay on your toes
We runnin this, let's go”

Summer is coming to an end and you know what that means... it's time to get on a boat (or not)!
This year I've decided to take the show on the road and we're going to try something new (optional). I'm looking at kayaking down the "Might Mo". That's right the Missouri River! You've driven over it countless times, but have you ever paddled down it? I am guessing many of you have not and it's a shame considering it's the largest source of water in the area and an easy float.
If you want to be on a boat plan on meeting at Kaw Point in Kansas (see additional waypoints) around 9:00 AM for the optional portion. There will be a log to sign at the end of the float. Feel free to paddle with me down the river to Riverfront park in Missouri or just join us at the end via land.
You will need to be at the posted coordinates, on the land, between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM the day of the event to qualify as Attended. Those boating, be sure to look to your right as you pass the river overlook (see additional waypoints), we will have a photographer snapping photos of our adventure.
You will need to coordinate a ride back to your car at Kaw Point following the event if you choose to do the boating portion. I will have my van at Riverfront Park and can transport at least 6 kayaks (maybe more depending on size) but you will need to work out the transportation of people. Anyone willing to assist with this please mention it in your Will Attend.

Please Note: No special permit is necessary for boating on the Missouri River but it is each person’s responsibility to ensure their craft is safe and ready for this float. A life jacket is required.
If you do not have your own kayak but still wish to join in the fun there is a service with rentals available. They have 16 kayaks reserved for us that we can use the morning of the event. These are available on a first come first served basis, see this post on Facebook with further details. Please note there is a fee of $30 for the rental, this includes the kayak, paddle, and lifejacket. Rentals are limited to those 14 or older and there is a weight limitation of 300 lbs.
