PICK THE PEAK!

CITO! Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 363,000 people have volunteered at 18,000 CITO events.
Trash on the top of Pikes Peak has only one way to go - DOWN. So let's pick UP the peak! Bring your own gloves, bags, and grabbers. I'll have some to share.
Colorado weather is unpredictable. At over 14,000 feet, it can be deadly. Be prepared for extreme and quickly changing weather from sunny hot to snow on the ground in the middle of the summer. Terrain on top of a 14,000 foot mountain is rocky, uneven, and a slip or fall can be deadly! Be responsible, wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and be prepared. Altitude sickness is real! Take it slowly, bring plenty of water, and familiarize yourself with the symptoms of altitude sickness.
Geocachers have several options to reach the top; shuttle, car, hiking, biking, or by train!
THERE ARE FEES TO PARK OR RIDE TO THE TOP! A shuttle is available; $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 6 - 15. Vehicles with children in carseats or passengers with ADA requirements will be allowed to summit in their own car. Driving is $50.00 for a carload, or $10.00 per adult and $2.00 per child 6-15.
