COLLEGE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
This story comes from a time when I lived in the United States during the early 2000’s, at a college just outside of Philadelphia. The apartment where I lived had four young fellas who loved their sports, and we all brought our TVs and components together to make the ultimate entertainment viewing room for all our favourite programs. I watched basketball and wrestling while my roommates introduced me to American football and Lacrosse. The set up looked amazing from the front but from behind it was multiplying tangled mess of cables. I remember staring at the mess, trying to figure out where to start untangling. My Japanese neighbour Josh was hanging out with us, and he started to draw out the proper placement of the wires so that we could just unplug everything and start again. His drawing was a nice and neat arrangement where everything plugged in correctly and the system functioned as it should. It was as if he’d applied a mathematical wizardry to the task and made everything better than we’d ever dreamed it could be. Beers were had at the completion of the task, and Josh was made an honorary member of the household for the excellent job he’d done.
The rest of this college experience of mine is for another tale but just know that there was plenty of learning that occurred over there… between partying and playing basketball.
Recently I found the drawing in a box in my garage. I starred at the drawing of multiple TV awesomeness and started to see a maths puzzle come to light, which I have used in this Geocache.

I hope you enjoy this puzzle. Happy Geocaching
