After over a year of uncertainty, I'm looking forward to getting back to some of our traditions, like baseball! Here is a little poem to share my thoughts. It's no joke! I hope it makes my position clear: let's just play ball!
What Baseball Means To Me
Now I don't know where this whole world will be going
And who can say life will be ever the same
But I sure do know who will be making a showing:
‘Twill be us having fun as we watch the ballgame!
I don't give a darn if we win or we lose
That's not a concern that I have for today
Tomorrow we'll deal with the good or bad news
Today we are here and have baseball to play
Today it should be about runs, balls, and strikes
Plus fast-breaking steals from I don't know where
And what can bring smiles to both grown-ups and tykes
But what flies like a foul curve back into fair
With what will come next we'll find ways we can cope
Because we'll have baseball, and baseball means hope.
