Geocache Description:

Whilst recently visiting my sister in the Richmond area we decided that a cache was needed here.

The Kronosaurus is a Pliosour, a short- neck marine reptile. So its a massive 11 meter crocodile like reptile, with a skull that was 2 and a half meters in length alone, that swam in the ocean that covered the area 120 million years ago.

Kronosaurus queenslandicus was named in 1901 when a fragment of its jaw containing 6 teeth, 30cm in length, was found at Army Downs near Hughenden.

Kronosaurus lived in cool, high - latitude Eromanga sea - an inland sea that covered vast areas of inland Australia 120-90 million years ago. Can you imagine that, an ocean right where you are standing now.

The cache is a screw top container with pencil and log sheet

Please help maintain the cache by placing where you found it.
