Hello again! It's been awhile. Gerry says hi! Remember Gerry? He was so happy that you came along with him on his last adventure that he wants you to come again! Be sure to pay attention, because there will be a quiz! Since we last met, Gerry has picked up an interest in magic! Isn't that just magical?
Here is the adventure: Gerry the Geocache #2: Three Magic Words
This mystery cache has 3 stages, and will take you to a few places around town. Each stage has instructions, so read carefully!
To complete this cache, you will need to either download the app or use the website for What 3 Words, a program where every 3x3 meter square in the world is assigned its own set of three unique words. You will use this to complete the cache. To search for places on What 3 Words, use this format: ///word1.word2.word3
Stage 1
Using the link to the adventure above, you will find three words in the movie. They are already in order, you just have to find them. Don't worry, they are hard to miss! Using the words, search for a square in What 3 Words. This will take you to a historical sign in town.
Stage 2
At the sign, you will use the text to create three more words. The sign has 9 rows, or lines, including the small writing. In the next puzzle, you will see this: [#-#] The first number is the line, and the second number is the character in that line. Only count letters and numbers! Don't count puncuation or spaces.
Word 1: [2-1], [6-1], [4-8], [9-3]
Word 2: [4-3], [5-3], [8-3], [1-3]
Word 3: [6-13], [5-9], [3-9], [4-3], [9-2], [1-6]
These words will take you to a new place in town
Stage 3
At this new square, there will be a sign. You must find a micro cache there. Inside there are 6 questions about the adventure that will give you the coordinates of the final. Before you leave, you may want to download the video or make sure you have access to the internet. Please do not take the paper! I ask that you keep the paper with the questions with the container. If you have to go to your car or anywhere else, please take a picture of the questions to take with you instead. This will help ensure that everyone can find the cache.
