Fun Fact: Wet exit - A kayak wet exit is when a kayak tips over and the kayaker has to get out of it while still submerged in water.

Welcome to the Middletown OHIO New Discoveries GeoTour

We are excited for you to discover all of the things we love about our All-American City! The New Discoveries GeoTour has 25 caches to find, all located in publicly accessible areas.

Cache Background

The “Wet Exit” cache is located along the Great Miami River and near The Great Miami River Bike Path. 

The name of the cache comes from the American Proverb, “Love many, trust few, but always paddle your own canoe.” 

Look down the cache, but wander over the hill and lookup for special surprises:

  • Swallows Nest on the underside of the bridge.
  • Kayakers paddle along the Great Miami River.
  • Bikers enjoy the 99 mile stretch of paved trail along the Great Miami River Bike path.
  • Skydivers jump from the nearby Hook Field.
  • Hot Air Balloons lift off from nearby Smith Park.
  • Mother Nature provides amazing sunsets daily.

Cache Description

A typical traditional hide. A great park and grab. The hint reveals it all. You'll need to think about April - July - August when deciphering the code.
