Lakewood Theater is an iconic Art Deco style landmark in East Dallas, recognizable for its
100 foot neon tower and having been designated a Dallas Historic Landmark.
Lakewood Theater was opened October 27, 1938 with Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland and Lana Turner in “Love Finds Andy Hardy”. In later years the theatre became home to movies, concerts, plays, festivals, premieres, and community events. It was closed January 2, 2015 having fallen in to poor condition during years of vacancy.
Currently, it is the home to Bowlski’s, a bowling alley that’s also a music venue.
The challenge in the quest for this geocache is to avoid the Muggles.
