Yr A55 yw'r brif ffordd ar draws Gogledd Cymru o Gaer ac yn 2001, cafodd ei ymestyn o'r diwedd ar draws Ynys Môn i borthladd fferi Caergybi, gan redeg yn gyfochrog â'r A5.
Gohiriwyd adeiladu'r rhan olaf yn hir a chododd AS Ynys Môn, Mr Ieuan Wyn Jones y mater yn y Senedd ar 16 Hydref 1996. Dywedodd "The residents of Gaerwen, Gwalchmai, Bryngwran, Caergeiliog, Valley and Holyhead have to put up day after day and night after night with movements of traffic on such a scale that their lives are becoming intolerable. According to a local authority report, the nuisance they suffer relates to noise, vibration, poor air quality, severance by traffic, road safety problems and visual intrusion. In many cases, they also suffer from structural damage to their properties." *
Daeth agoriad yr A55 â rhyddhad mawr i drigolion Bryngwran.
Mae'r geocache hwn wedi'i leoli ar ffordd fach ychydig oddi ar yr A5, y tu allan i bentref cyfeillgar Bryngwran, nid ar yr A55. Rydych chi'n chwilio am diwb bach wedi'i baentio arian / llwyd. I agor y caead rhaid ei dynnu a'i droelli. Dychwelwch yn ofalus.
Os oes gennych amser, mae gan y tanffordd adlais rhagorol felly ewch â'ch hoots tylluan allan a mwynhewch eich hun :-)
Gallwch barcio yn y cwpl o byrth caeau bob ochr i'r ffordd ychydig cyn lleoliad y cache am yr ychydig funudau y bydd yn cymryd i chi ddod o hyd iddo. Byddwch yn barchus tuag at draffig a thrigolion lleol.
The A55 is the major road across North Wales from Chester and in 2001, it was finally extended across Anglesey to the ferry port of Holyhead, running parallel to the A5.
The building of the final section was much delayed and the MP for Anglesey, Mr Ieuan Wyn Jones raised the issue in Parliament on 16 October 1996. He stated "The residents of Gaerwen, Gwalchmai, Bryngwran, Caergeiliog, Valley and Holyhead have to put up day after day and night after night with movements of traffic on such a scale that their lives are becoming intolerable. According to a local authority report, the nuisance they suffer relates to noise, vibration, poor air quality, severance by traffic, road safety problems and visual intrusion. In many cases, they also suffer from structural damage to their properties." *
The opening of the A55 brought great relief to the residents of Bryngwran.
This geocache is located on a small road just off the A5, outside the friendly village of Bryngwran, not on the A55. You're looking for a small tube painted silver/grey. To remove the lid, pull and twist. Please return with care.
If you have time the underpass has an excellent echo so get your owl hoots out and enjoy yourself :-)
You can park in the couple of field gateways either side of the road just before the cache location for the few minutes it will take you to find the cache. Please be respectful to local traffic and residents.
