This cache is hidden near a side road off the Blackwater Road.
There is a orange spray painted piece of plywood sign posted at this road that says "Poole Road". The Poole Ranch is located west of the 1400 Road. This side road connects the Blackwater Road to the 1400 Road at 1415 km. This road is on crown land and is under road permit to a Woodlot Licensee as well as to a Major Licensee (Canfor). The Pooles also have authorization to use this road but it does not belong to them, the public is allowed to use crown tenured roads without restriction. Not to worry you are not trespassing.
The Blackwater Road may be busy during the work week, Monday to Friday with active log hauling and other industrial traffic. Travel slow and stay on your side of the road. Loaded logging trucks and industrial traffic have the right of way. Also be observant on the "Poole Road" as it could be active at times with industrial traffic but likely less frequently.
I hope to hide future caches along this road to make this a nice loop around to the 1400 Road and the Pelican FSR Road systems.
