There are a number of trails in the area that lead to overlooks. It is these trails & overlooks that are the exciting part, rather than the trail to the cache. These overlooks are the "Walk Right Off" type and should be taken very seriously. Remember "it's is not the fall that kills you - it's the sudden stop! ". The rapids down below are the ones that are so popular for Whitewater Paddling. The 'ONLY' man made thing in this view is a railroad. Now that is special.

When hiking from one Overlook to another try to avoid the Power Line trail. The trails near the overlooks are much easier and go around the climbs. If the trails seem to run out then go another way and you'll see there are many trails that keeps going. The cache is easy to find if you have the POWER to make the short hill to the top. There is really good stuff in there - right now - so hurry!
Try to make your trade items as interesting as possible. Please do not place liquids or food of any kind in the cache. Remember even seeds are food to Animals. Critters have great smellers and lots of time to treasure hunt.

Finding the Cache: Do NOT yell out "I found it" This will cause others not playing the game to come and steal the cache! Agree to stay something that will not attract attention like "I found a neat bug"!

Directions: From Route 19 near the New River Gorge Bridge take Lancing-Edmond Road South-East for 3 miles and turn right heading toward Jenette Baptist Church ( Sign is on your right). Proceed .5 miles to a garage size white Post Office on your right and turn right. Proceed without turning until you reach the very top of the Mountain and see a right angle dirt road. At this "T" turn left and park "WELL OFF the Road". There are only 2 or 3 Parking spots and if they are full then come back later and try again. Don't block the road even slightly, if you value your car. Locals get very upset! You should see Dusk to DAWN Signs and the path is right there. Only Hike the trails from the power line to the Overlooks. Private property is beyond the power lines away from the river.
If parking is a problem go back to the Nutall parking lot you saw on your way in. Take that trail until it splits and then go left. Find a great view and enjoy the area. You can go to the Park Service Visitors area and find enough stuff to do in the area to keep you busy for a couple weeks. Trails are abundant - Good Luck!
