The Miners's Trail series takes you from Aberllefenni up Cwm Hen-Gae, folowwing Afon Llefenni.
Total distance is 7.4 km or 4.6 miles if you complete all 14 caches in a circular loop. It is all on public footpaths or quiet lanes, and does travel through farmland. Please leave gates as you find them and keep dogs on leads. The footpaths can be very muddy in places so suitable footwear is recommended, even in summer!
NB. All the logbooks in this trail use waterproof paper. Do not replace because they are "damp" as you can still write on them, and replacing with ordinary paper will ismply mean we have to come out and replace again the next time it rains.
Many of these caches are small in size, but only contain space for a micro-log... you'll see what we mean when you find the second one! Don't expect swaps/travel bug hiding spots in many of the cache locations.

Admire and wonder at the system of sluices that used to power the slate mill below. The mill is still working, but is no longer water powered. After finding the cache, head along the road towards the restored Bell House that used to ring a bell for the start and end of the miners' day.
Look to your right for a footpath sign and you are now at the start of a Dyfi Valley walk. The rest of the route follows public footpaths.
