Geocache Description:

Pig to Pope Plod Series

This series of 10 caches has been set up around an area local to where I live. The route if completed as a whole takes you on muddy footpaths, along residential roads and into a few small copses which have been recently developed as a result of all the new houses being built. The whole route in numerical order is around 3km, although some of the route is still being developed at the time of setting, so the route could be longer if some of the footpaths are not in use.

At the time of setting the caches, the 10 caches in this loop all have different cache containers. The loop can be completed in smaller sections or a few work well as “dash and cache”s.

For more details of this series - see Pig to Pope Plod #1 - GC9F46X

Pig to Pope Plod #10 is a Multi Cache and also part of the Counting Vowels Series.

Please read the below details carefully for full instructions how to find this cache, which is NOT at the posted co-ordinates

Please note > Permission has kindly been given for the placing of this geocache by the rangers at Bracknell Forest Borough Council.

Please note > The car park is very near to a primary school, so I would expect this to be busy at school drop off and pick up times.

A short five stage multi, which involves four waypoints plus the final stage. At each waypoint, gather some information (words or letters). After the final waypoint, calculate the total number for each vowel A, E, I, O and U. It should be possible to complete this multi in 20 minutes.

1. At waypoint 1, which is also the posted co-ordinates, you will see a notice board. It has circular pictures, five to the left, and four to the right. On the right hand side of the board, top line second picture, make a note of the name (three words).

2. At waypoint 2, you will see another similar notice board. Again, it has circular pictures, five to the left, and four to the right, but they are different this time. On the left hand side of the board, top line second picture, make a note of the name (two words).

3. At waypoint 3, you will see a signpost. Find the white disc with the YELLOW arrow. Note down the first two words above the yellow arrow (two words).

4. At waypoint 4, you will see two green signs with white lettering. From either one, make a note of the one word. (one word).

There is no bench here, but there is one nearby.
You should now have collected eight words in total. Checksum = 19.

The cache can be found at
N51 24.(A+E)(E)(A+I)
W0 47.(A*3)(I+U)(I+O)

In the brackets in the formula above, they are all letters that have been used. Please note there is a multiplication sign (*) in the westings.

You are looking for a camoflaged item containing a log in a micro container, please bring a pen. Please replace as found so it is not visible to non-cachers and fits with the hint. Please take care with the item, so it is still in good order for future finders. Tweezers maybe needed to access the log, which I am hoping will remain dry.

The ground is uneven at GZ once you leave the path, please take care in the long grass here.

I am pleased to be able to add to the Counting Vowels Series. If anyone else wants to add to this series contact mikes54.
